Claudia Llosa, director of the peruvian film "The Milk of Sorrow", said today that she was  very happy for the nomination to Best “Foreign Language Film" at the Oscar Awards  2010.

From Spain, Claudia thanked Manchay (where the film was shot) as -according to what she said -"without them I wouldn’t have achieved this“, and said she was feeling amazed.

“I use this opportunity to send you a kiss from a distance, this film was born in Manchay. Everybody helped us so let’s celebrate with them. I feel very happy", added Llosa at an interview for the entertainment news at ‘First Edition’ from Spain.

"You don’t think about the result you will achieve, but about finishing it (the movie) well. Despite the difficulties we have managed to be successful. It is a plus (to go to the Oscar). I’m happy and I want to share this with everyone", said the Peruvian filmmaker.

Relating to the movies with which she will compete, such as the Argentinian film ‘The secret of their eyes ", “The White Ribbon” from Germany, “ Un prophet “, from France and “Ajami “ from Israel, Claudia Llosa replied: "It’s a dream having got so far, I don’t want to ask for more, I’m happy, this is what matters and we have to enjoy it just like that”.

This film is a co-production with Spain, so there are friends who should share this joy as well". "I have not spoken with Magaly (Solier) yet, but definitely we will call her. I send her a kiss. She deserves this and much more because she has worked hard and with a great effort. She is an amazing girl, an example for daring to dream and that yes, it can be done", said the Peruvian, who will be travelling to Los Angeles to be present this March 7th, when the names of Oscar winners are given.
