Además, el conjunto que dirige Arsene Wenger perdió la condición de líder, ya que el primer lugar por diferencia de goles pertenece al Liverpool, conjunto que el día sábado superó 3-1 al Cardiff con doblete del uruguayo Luis Suárez y otro tanto de Raheem Sterling.
La Liga inglesa no tendrá receso por fiestas y más bien continuará íntegramente el día jueves, teniendo como encuentro principal el que protagonicen Manchester City (tercero en las posiciones) y el puntero Liverpool.
